Laura Lakey, APRN
Laura Lakey, APRN, is a board certified family nurse practitioner with over 25 years of nursing experience. A Jacksonville native, she attended the University of North Florida for her Bachelor’s degree and Jacksonville University for her Masters in Nursing.
Laura has experience across multiple specialties including critical care, family medicine, and radiology. However, her passion for combining science and art ultimately led her to pursue a career in aesthetics.
She values building trusting relationships with her clients and loves seeing their self-confidence enhanced with proper aesthetic care. Laura prioritizes continuing education and regularly attends aesthetic training conferences to learn new skills and safe techniques for delivering beautiful, natural-looking results.
Laura and her husband live in the historic Avondale area with their Yorkshire terrier (Bad Bad Leroy Brown) and Maltese (Luca). Laura is the proud mother of three young adults. When not working, she loves to travel as much as possible. Laura is a self-proclaimed foodie and art enthusiast.
Emma Robertson is a licensed medical aesthetician. She is passionate about skincare and helping people feel their best. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing facial or a customized skincare routine, Emma is here to help. She is proud to be certified in ZO, Skinmedica, and Diamond Glow. These certifications allow her to provide the highest quality skincare services to her clients.
Emma was born in Jacksonville Florida and attended Jacksonville Electrology laser & skincare academy, as well as Paul Mitchell the cosmetology school. She loves all things about the beauty industry and is consistently in training to advance her skill set and grow with the industry. We are excited to have such talent join the Beauty Theory Family!
When she is not in the spa room, you can find her dancing, reading or with her friends and family.
Brooke Calhoun is Beauty Theory’s office manager. She is extremely passionate about creating an organized and positive work environment for our staff so clients can receive the luxury experience they deserve. Brooke spends a lot of time behind the camera working to capture clients’ life-changing transformations. She enjoys being able to document the moment clients feel their most beautiful.
Most recently Brooke worked in marketing at the Ron Sholes Law Firm for four years, and prior to that she was a medical assistant at Anodyne Pain & Wellness. In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her baby, working on interior decorating projects, and making memories with her family.
Dana Smith is the receptionist here at Beauty Theory. Prior to joining the Beauty Theory team, Dana was a hairstylist for almost ten years and an elementary school paraprofessional for five. A Jacksonville native, she is married to her high school sweetheart and has three beautiful daughters. The Smiths keep very busy on the weekends playing travel softball and volleyball.
